About Amy
Amy Bartley MS, LPC, EMDR Trained
Hi! I’m so glad you are here! I’m Amy and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and My Masters Degree from Texas A&M-Commerce. I have experience working in community mental health, eating disorder treatment, and private practice.
I specialize in eating disorders, attachment, and trauma. My therapeutic approach includes attachment, relational, and trauma informed therapy. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship in providing clients the resources to heal and understand themselves fully. My goal as a therapist is to provide empathy, acceptance, and compassion as clients gain self-awareness and self-empowerment to begin the healing journey. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitatization Reprocessing (EMDR), Ego State Work, and Somatic Experiencing (completing my advanced year in Fall 2024).
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two rescue dogs. I enjoy reading, going on walks, trying out new restaurants, and traveling.
