About Emily

Emily Diehl, MA, LPC-Associate, NCC supervised by Whitney Russell MS, LPC-S, CEDS-C, EMDR Trained #65929

Hey there! I’m Emily and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University, and received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

Life can be challenging, and no matter the season or stage we're in, unexpected obstacles can appear out of nowhere, leaving us stuck and unsure of how to move forward. My desire is to walk alongside you in these moments and be present as you discover how to navigate life’s challenges. I believe in the importance of providing a safe and welcoming space where you are free to be yourself and work on creating the life you desire in a judgment-free zone. I show up to sessions with warmth, empathy, and compassion, and my hope is that when you meet with me you will feel seen, heard, and understood.

I have experience working with individuals in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. My therapy style is encouraging, relational, and person-centered, and I enjoy using modalities from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Expressive Arts techniques.

I also specialize in working with dancers and athletes. As a former dancer, I understand the unique pressures and expectations that often come with being in the entertainment industry. I wanted to become a therapist to promote the importance of mental health for this population, as well as help individuals from all walks of life who are seeking support through counseling.

Outside of work, I enjoy hanging out at local coffee shops, going on walks, and tapping into my creative side through watercolor painting and embroidery.

Reaching out for help is a brave decision, and if you’re reading this that means you have already taken the first step! I’m excited to meet you and start our work together. You’ve got this!
