About Hannah

Hannah Pruitt MS, LPC-Associate Supervised by Whitney Russell MS, LPC-C, CEDS-C, EMDR Trained #65929

Hannah earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Markets and Culture and went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Hannah is passionate about working with eating disorders, having spent time working in several eating disorder treatment centers. Hannah also has experience working with addiction, identity exploration, grief, self-esteem, and life transitions.

Hannah wanted to become a therapist because she has always enjoyed helping others and forming authentic and meaningful connections. Hannah’s therapeutic style is warm and collaborative, while helping clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs that may be contributing to distress. Hannah’s main goal in therapy is to help her clients feel heard and supported while providing an environment that promotes safety, trust, and acceptance . Her favorite part about being a therapist is getting to witness the growth and change within clients throughout the collaborative therapeutic process. As someone who has greatly benefited from attending therapy herself, she feels honored to get to create a space for others to feel safe and supported!

Outside of being a therapist, Hannah loves going to the library, reading mystery books, cooking, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and taking walks with her dog Ginger!
