Outdoor Walk & Talk Sessions

Outdoor Walk & Talk sessions involve integrating the outdoors and the natural world into the counseling process as a mechanism of healing and transformation. Being outdoors has many benefits, including stress reduction, relaxation, improved mood, greater sense of peace and increased self-confidence. Participating in these sessions helps create a sense of stability, grounding and a connection and can help contain and transform difficult and powerful emotions and experiences, such as those that can sometimes occur in trauma therapy.

We are privileged to have our office be so close to two nature areas, Galatyn Woodland Preserve & Spring Creek Nature Area, that are easily accessible on foot. They have paved nature trails, shade, and beautiful greenery to enjoy during your session.

Outdoor sessions are conducted at the descretion of your therapist based on weather conditions and your treatment needs.
